On Amazon, there are two types of sellers: Amazon and third-party sellers. For the majority of things, the consumer will have multiple purchasing options. When a buyer clicks "Add to Cart," the seller who has the Buy Box at that time (the Buy Box winner rotates, but more on that later) receives the sale.
A Buy Box on Amazon enables users to make purchases quickly without considering the seller (Amazon or a third-party seller). The Buy Box refers to the white box on the right side of the Amazon product detail page, where customers can add items for purchase to their cart. Not all sellers are eligible to win the Buy Box.
How the Buy Box Works?
The Buy Box algorithm starts by analysing each offer by all the sellers of the product. It then evaluates each offer on the basis of seller history, price and many other variables (more on those later).
